Ever since updating to Intralink 3.4 M130, we now have to wait upto 30mins for an Object/Update to complete. It seems to take the longest on any assy referencing a multi-level family table, or just on the family table itself. Server just sits at 50% CPU & 15% Memory during update, could this be a server configuration issue? Has anyone else suffered this type of problem? Any advice gratefully received. Server: Dell Poweredge 4200 1.8Ghz Xeon, Windows Server 2003, 4GbRAM Client: Dell Precision 370 3.4Ghz P4, Windows XP Pro, 3Gb RAM
The slow Update problem has been solved by setting the Intralink Preferences, in the Configurations Tab, for Set Configuration to NOT include Drawings, Instances or Generics. Configuration is set to "Latest" & Members are "Required". Don't know the cause of the problem yet, as these settings do not cause a problem for a Checkout if set to include, but I do suspect our nested family Table could be a contributary factor.
Also, thanks to Steven R St. Jean for TAN 128919, this has made a big improvement to our Pro/Locate speeds when using wildcards.
