Installing Windchill with SQL Server Developer

I want to install windchill for testing, can I use SQL Server 2017 Developer?

Ben's comments were specific to the year, not the edition.  2017 is supported in 11.1 but not 11.0.  Developer edition is not officially supported at all, but it works fine.  (At least it is for me.)

When I install the developer version in my test scenario, I find several errors at the time of installation, but when I install supported verifications the installation normally occurs. Is there anything I should consider?
