Intralink 9.1 M040 -> M050 upgrade vs local worksapces/cache

We are going to upgrade our Intralink 9.1 server from build M040 to
build M050 this weekend.

Do we have to remove all the local workspaces/cache on the clients?

Or can we just keep on working with the current local workspaces/cache?
Did anyone who did not renew the local workspaces/cache experience any
problems with this upgrade?
