Hello All,
The Error seen in PDMlink has resulted do to a Use Case Solution allowed in INtralink 3.4 that was forgotten to be addressed in PDMLink 9.0. Nothing unusual in that for a non-standard though supported use case.
Scenrio:(Intralink)
In Intralink you would receive an error regarding the format of date, if you changed it to 03/25/09 (noted at end of email). The Setup was changed using TAN 130319 which outlined in Intralink 3.4 using the PDM_DATE_FORMAT set to %m/%d/%y so data could be saved and checked into Intralink.
This was set so that Parameters in Pro/E could be entered 03/25/09 and be search in INtralink and be shown on all drawings. There 8 of them and it has been used since INtralink 3.2 around 2004.
INtralink Migration: (Unaffected) Sent Attributes Across.
Scenerio: (PDMLink)
PDMlink reports Error when you attempt to Upload/Check In any object that has a Date Parameter in this Alternate Format.(similar to what Intralink would have done without the environment variable) PDMLink does not recognoze Environment Variable PDM_DATE_FORMAT.
Errors in Event Manager:
The value "03/25/09" of incoming parameter "APPROVED_BY_DATE" is not in the format "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss z" and could not be parsed as "Date & Time"
as well as error:
Parameter "APPROVED_BY_DATE" of type "String" could not be uploaded to the server due to inconsistent type with Windchill parameter type "Date & Time".
Tech Support is investigating but wanted to try once more to see if anyone at PTC/User can think of a work-around or customization to resolve. I think it might be a bit worse since the error is not recognizing the format as a date but hoped someone used this TAN.
Attempted Work-Around of Renaming Attribute and Making New Attribute. Does not account for Dates modified in Intralink Workspace Interface so if you open in PDMlink Pro/E shows older Value... Which is scary and can not be used with Visualization since Released Drawings would pull random older dates.

PS
Error in Intralink without PDM_DATE_FORMAT Environment Variable Set would have been:
