Is it possible to get your ProE Simplified Reps in ProductView

I would like to know if it’s possible to upload your Simplified reps from ProE Wildfire 3 into PDMLink 9 m030 and when you look at your item in Product View 9 you have the option of looking at the different/individual reps one by one

Japie,

In your ProE recipe file, Paramters,Misc tab you will find the following:

Simp Rep: None, All, Include, Exclude......this controls the output of ProE simp reps to PV output

Include/Exclude: If you pick Include or Exclude above, then you can list by name here. seperated by a comma or semicolon

The Simp Reps will show up as Groups in PV STD. Do not think you can view in PV Lite.

Is there a user interface for changing recipe files? If so where can I find it.

Greg,

When you install the Object Adapters, in the <loadpoint>\bin directory isa file called rcpedit.exe. Drag your recipe file on to that and the editor will open.

If you select "All" asa optionhow will this influence the file size?

Japie.

I have to say it depends on the version of ProductView you are using to
publish. ProE simplified Representations are added to ProductView as
ProductView Groups. In R8...the .ed file that maintains groups is text
based....so file size can increase dramatically. In R9 the .pvs file
that is used is binary, so there is less impact to file size.
