Is it possible to have a single Cognos installation supporting multiple Windchill installations

Is it possible to have a single Cognos installation supporting multiple windchill installations. We have several windchill enviroments that we move our code thru as it matures: development, test, pre-prod and demo. We want to have a Cognos installation that supports all windchill enviroments. We want to define the report once, yet at runtime have it go to a different data source based on which windchill enviroment it is being executed from. So if the report is run in the pre-prod environment it would gather it's data from the pre-prod windchill data source. If the report is run in the demo environment, it would gather its data from the demo windchill data source.

Our only option at this point in time is to duplicate the cognos environment for each windchill enviroment and that is a lot of overhead when it comes to setup, configuration and maintenance of the cognos environment.

We are using windchill 9.1 m60.

PTC has not tested this in any way and there is currently no ongoing plans or efforts to do so, so there is no guarantees that it would ever work. But, if you're looking to go ahead this, the following is included in the basic requirements:

-The properties wt.cognos.model.name and wt.cognos.naming.prefix must be unique on each of the Windchill installations that uses the shared Cognos installation. There are more details about them in the <Windchill>/codebase/properties.html file.

-The LDAP configuration in Cognos will need to be set up so that it can connect to all LDAP servers involved (including all WindchillDS instances).

The setup may work if these criteria are fulfilled, but there may be other configuration steps necessary. Again, this is an unsupported and untested setup.
