Is it possible to prefill the PDMLink login field with %username%

Hi,

I have a small question - maybe someone already found a solution for it...

In Intralink 3.4 the login field was already prefilled with the WIN variable %username%. Is there any way at all to do this on PDMLink? I have the situation that some designers have two users with different access rights to the PDMLink database. It would be very helpful if I could prefill the login so that they cannot mix up the two logins.

Hi Steven,

thx for the answer - it points in the right direction but it would violate our security rules to put the password in the url directly. What I am looking for is something like:

http://username:prompt_for_password@windchill-server.ptcnet.ptc.com/Windchill/app/

which would result in the login window with the login field being prefilled:

And can be used in both standalone and integrated browser (config.fld)
