Java Authentication Window keeps appearing

Background:

IE 7.0
Windchill 8.0 m050

Sun Java 1.6.0_11

We switched from IE 6.0 to IE 7.0 and now are having to authenticate to the windchill server for each Java applet that is run. If you check the remember passwords checkbox, it elminates having to authenticate that application again during the current session. But this must be done for every applet, every session. With long usernames and passwords, this quickly becomes irritating.

I am including a screenshot of the Java authentication dialog box for reference.

I have two Questions:

One, has anyone else eexperienced this problem?

Second, has anyone else FIXED this problem?

Hi Marc,

We also have the same issue with Internet Explorer. I have a call open on
this issue.It works fine in Firefox. We are recommending that as a
workaround for the people who create documents frequently.

Yes, we had this problem also. You need to get a patch from PTC to fix it.
Patch Name: 8.0-M050_M040_M030_M020_M010_F000_TP1
