Java JRE 8 is already on release 11

Have anyone tried itor accidently allowed your users to auto-update to Java JRE 8?

No release of Windchill yet supports Java 8 clients.

I know of 2 point issues in admin clients (in the lifecycle
administrator and the team administrator) and 1 general issue -- you
need to configure Windchill to enable RMI tunneling to get RMI to work
in any applet (due to changes in the applet security model).

Beyond this, Java 8 Update 5 and Update 11 have general issues with
classloading in applets, which appear to be addressed by the upcoming
Update 20 (due in August).

As for auto-update, Java Plug-In installations won't be auto-updated to
Java 8 until October.

Thanks Jess,

This is good to know to advise our end users not to go to latest and greatest with Java if they have administration access.
