License type required for automation

Hi,

We want to create an (Excel) application that downloads the viewables from Windchill in a batching way. All users are non-Windchill users. What kind of license(s) is required. Is it allowed that e.g. 20 Excel users download from Windchill via one license or does everyone needs his own license ?

On the surface, it looks like you may need one-to-one view license for the users who are accessing data from Windchill.

However you may want to contact PTC Sales Team who can evaluate the use-case a little bit more and then suggest the best course of action.

Yes, after contacting a PTC dealer what you mention is confirmed, you need a named license. Per user a license. This can be expensive....

I wonder with what license type and price tag they will come up.
