One of my clients is a Built-To-Print manufacturer. They receive the eBOM from the customer, where each customer has his own part number for standard parts like rivets, bolts, etc.
The manufacturing company also has their own library of standard parts. To standardize as much as possible, they exchange the customer part number with their own part number from the library. This way the number of inventory SKU's is limited.
For each customer part an alternate part is defined. During eBOM-mBOM transformation the customer part is exchanged with the alternate part. We would like to have this automated during the transformation to the mBOM.
Does any one know if this is possible by configuration? Do we need customization to achieve this?
