Method to keep Name, Number, and Filename in Sync

My company ishas been onWindchill 9.0 for about a year. One complaint since moving from Intralink is that Windchill has several different fields related to object naming.Our current documented process is to keep all the Windchillfields (Name, Number, and Filename) common to minimize confusion when navigating the various database pages. Unfortunately this requires the user to manually enter each of the name fields separately and is prone to error. We would like a method to allowa user to rename an object and just enter one new name and an algorithm fills in all the Windchill fields. Has anyone done something like this that they would be willing to share?

Our approach:

Filename and number of Cad docs are the same but there are rare
exceptions

Names should match Title on drawings or part descriptions - Try to sync
with Pro/E parameter initially

WTParts are numbered from cad doc (dropping extension)

Names match cad doc (Rename Sync Listener used to keep them in sync and
propagate renames to related objects).
