Multiple WWGM installs on same workstation - ref CS212589

Hello, We are upgrading very soon from 11.1 >> 12.1.

Currently attemptin g to use the approach stated in CS212589 to install and use (one at a time) both WWGM 12.1 and 11.1.

Not yet working and CS seems to be wrong and not complete.

Looking for input / advice / procedure from any one who has had success on this.

Note: The alternative is to have to uninstall / reinstall in order to use.

thanks in advance.

That looks like a very complex procedure. I might be simpler to test using a few test clients that are upgraded to 12.1 and validate that things are working. When it comes time to the final upgrade, you need to plan updating the clients after the server is complete. Best not to try and have a single machine live in both worlds.

Antonio, thanks for the comment.

For those of us who need to test WC12.1 while also supporting users on 11.1, the only alternative (working from home, with just one computer) is to install / use / uninstall / install / use, etc. LOTS of times.

Really hoping to get this to work.  There are a fair number of steps to switch back and forth but once set it should be very quick.

The article doesn't seem to be really correct, and we're waiting on a tech support case.

thanks again

Hoping someone out there has been thru this and has gotten it to work.
