Office Integration with WindChill 9.0

When creating a new document from a Word template, carriage returns and tabs, etc contained in my Windchill attributes transfer into my Word document as upside down question marks, and lines run together. Any suggestions on how I can get these characters to transfer properly?

2 things come to mind. In Word, go to Options, Proofing, AutoCorrect options. Uncheck everything on the "AutoCorrect as you type tab". This will eliminate any special formatting for quotes, fractions, and symbols. Then, I suggest saving the document as a .txt file instead of a MS word file (.doc). That should eliminate any special formatting the Microsoft has added.
