Working with PTC now to establish multiple organizations (one for parent company and one for customer) in our 10.1 instance (PTC Hosted). The dilemma is around who is going to be the org admin for the orgs. For our two admins to be org admins of the two organizations we would need 4 licenses. Because we are being told that:
- an org admin has to be an organizational participant
- one person can’t be in two organizational participants
The customer is not yet in our system, but will more than likely be (not as an org admin...along with some vendors / sub-consultants). Initially the Parent company will have all the users where the global library of Creo modelswill be stored as templates (or starting files) and the users will populate the roles in the customer's org to create the products.Productswill be in the customer's org along with the customer provided reference data since the customer will own all the data at the end.
So why can't a person be in an unassigned organization and fill multiple org admin roles? They say they will not create phantom users. Each has to have a legit email and hold a license for each user added. For a system soconfigurable...
