PDMLink 9.1 on VMWARE

Does anyone have any experience running PDMLink 9.1 on VMware?

To be specific on ESX 3.5 or ESX 4.0 from VMware. Are there any know issues (e.g. performance)?

Windchill performs very well on the VMware platform. We've deployed many Windchill installations on virtualized infrastructure including VMware ESX, VMware ESXi, Xen, and KVM. All of these platforms provide flexibility that bare metal hardware cannot match. Virtualization reduces risk and saves time. The Enterprise Deployment Center at PTC has completed extensive performance testing with Windchill on VMware. You can download the "Windchill 9.1 Performance on VMware vSphere 4.0" white paper from PTC at

David,
There are no issues if it is done correctly, however Performance is always an
issue specifically if used across the geography (as many factors are
responsible for that).
Thanks

Shawn,

Can you double-check your link? I tried it, but got an error.

Thanks,
