PTC Promotion Workflow:

Hello All,

(PDMLink 9.0 M060)

I was asked if we could add a re-work to the Promotion Approval Workflow... My initial thought was No to adding additions objects to the promtion request if forgotten. But yes to a minor drawing change?
But I thought I'd ask the best.

PTC Process
1. Collect Everything by method suggested by Kevin Alexander and Others (Since No Clipboard to capture or Briefcase link Ilink 3.x)
2. Start a Promotion
3. Go through the Promotion Dialog Boxes, removing and adding, selecting what to Promote.
4. Ending by picking your Approver
5. Object Lifdecycle State "locked" at UnderReview
5. Approver -Rejects.....
6. User Makes Changes and Starts all over with the collecting....

Possible:???
5. Instead of Reject - pick Rework
6. State goes from Locked "underReview" back to "WIP"
7. User makes change.
8. Complets Task for quick change
9. States return to Locked "Underreview"
10. Task sentback to the Approver
11. Approved

I do not think if the designer needed to Add a forgotten component... they can do it... they'd have to start over.

Q2:
Most people do not use the Review Activity.... Have any of you Figured out how to Modify the PTC Dialog Boxes for Promote to disable the Particpants Review Column form displaying in the last Dialog Box. We would only want to see the Approvers...
If it were a Workflow activity, No Problem, but as its in the Dialog Boxes... not sure where to go to disable.

Question 2: easier to answer: Remove the Review task from the
Promotion workflow. The Promotion Wizard will automatically add a
column for each role in the Workflow. So if you had 6 different
activities that each had its own role, you would see 6 columns on that
step of the Wizard.

Question 1: OOTB it is not possible. Currently PTC is looking at
adding this functionality to X-20 (10). But right now to be able to do
something like this you would need to add some Java to remove modified
objects and add the newest iterations of the objects.
