I received several responses to my post last week regarding the speed of Intralink. All of the responses stated that something must be wrong because it should not take 3 minutes to login.
Here are the suggestions I received (random order):
1. make sure PDM_LDB_PATH is pointing to where the .proi folder is created. 2. Investigate server resources. Make sure the RAID array id not degraded and there is plenty of memory. 3. Upgrade Intralink. 4. Delete .proi folder. Need a fresh folder. 5. User homes are local and not networked. 6. Busy network? 7. Memory and virtual memory settings.
What worked for me was #4. I checked everything into Common Space then deleted the proi folder. My login's went from 3 minutes to 5 seconds. My local.ddb was almost 500Mb so I guess this file has to remain small.
