Re-Vaulting Question

Good morning all,

I have a question for all of you vaulting experts out there. I just
started at this company and am looking at the existing setup of the file
vaults. This is a 9.1 M030 system that has the vaulting patch
(9.1-M030_1879915) installed, and is using the
wt.fv.{forceContentToVault, useFvFileThreshold} set to true, and the
wt.fv.fvFileThreshold set to 50000.

My question is, should I be running Re-Vaulting jobs along with these
settings or not? The reason for asking this is my first task was to
clone the production server, and afterwards I was messing with the test
server and setup a vaulting job (just to see what it said), and it
wanted to re-vault thousands of objects. Shouldn't those objects already
have been forced to the vaults? Thanks in advance for your replies.

If you are using the forceContent option you should never have to revault

Keep an eye on the Threshold option - I have seen it break many, many times.

Mike,

If you want to go ahead with these settings first thing would be to check if
you have automatic folder creation setup, if will need to set it up.
Once(if) thats in place these settings look good.
