Resolving a Variance

Greetings Windchillers,

I have a question.  We are going to be using the Deviation action in Variance to document our nonconforming items. Everything works well except we have one issue.

For a Deviation that is not Resolved by an ECN, we are seeking a method to set it to Resolve besides Resolving it administratively.  We thought about putting a timer robot to resolve it 90 days after the Approval, but that is not flexible, in case we need to change a date.

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

@JHall - for clarification in your use case the process is that if there is no CR that resolves it, the Deviation resolves after a set period of time.  There is no process overview to review the status and either say its resolved or too prolong that date in case its not?

Yes, that's it @JeffZemsky.  It would function I suppose, but we would like a task maybe to provide some overview and wondering how to make it happen with at least some flexibility if possible.  Perhaps a task generated to Resolve?  But what would trigger that?
