Revision Value not Valid Within the Series

Revision Value not Valid Within the Series

Hello,
We have a bunch of parts with numeric versions that were migrated from our Intralink system into our PDMLink system. Numeric versions are not part of our version scheme and we cannot revise any of these objects (WTParts and EPMDocuments).

Does anyone know how we can move these objects to a version A? Can this be done with a workflow expression upon promotion of the objects? Are there any mass update options? Can this be done with a SQL Update?

Thank you in advance for your advice,

Look into wt.vc.MasteredSeriesCleanser

I am not sure if this is a 9.0 class. Tech Support told me about this. I
have 8.0 but I do not see this class.

Antonio,
Thank you. I was able to find a temporary patch, which adds the MasteredSeriesCleanser. Unfortunately, it is for M020 and we are on M050. I log a call with tech support and see if they can provide the patch for M050. Thank you for the reply. I hope that this will do the trick.

There was a helper class/service that let you change the version and iteration for an object to something else provided it didn't already exist in which case it threw an exception. Problem is I am having a case of forgetfulness.

But yes that class is in 9.0 and should do the trick also...

RE: Revision Value not Valid Within the Series

In fact I have a similar problem on 9.0 M030

Could you share the batch you used?

Thanks a lot.
