SQL Server downgrade (Enterprise to Standard)
I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.1.2
We have a Windchill 12 installation based on SQL Server Enterprise Edition (unfortunately an evaluation version). We would like to move the database to a Standard Edition of SQL Server.
Are there any drawbacks to moving the Windchill database from an Enterprise to a Standard version?
Are there any best practices to follow?
Thank you very much.

Hello ST_10489329,
You raised this question regarding SQL/Server, thanks for reaching out this is Charles from PTC Technical Support in Europe, I will provide you assistance on this question.
It should be transparent for Windchill as long as you stick to any official procedure supplied by Microsoft.
In case of any issues with the SQL Server downgrade you will need to contact Microsoft Technical Support of course.
On PTC side the Software Matrices compliance is mandatory of course.
KR,
Charles.

Hi @ST_10489329
Have you ever tried to export and import the database?
It is DB issue, so windchill should not have any issue with it
do not forget to solve orphan user in DB after import.
