Send to PDM: "The object with the following key was deleted or inaccessible: "wt.epm.EPMDocument>xx"

Send to PDM: "The object with the following key was deleted or inaccessible: "wt.epm.EPMDocument>xx"

"Send to PDM" from project context fails with the prompt

ATTENTION:

The object with the following key was deleted or inaccessible: "wt.epm.EPMDocument>xxxxxxxx"

Searching the SQL database table EPMDocument with the id referenced in the prompt does not produce any results. For such a case I understand there's the script #2 in this article for Oracle, but not for MS SQL...

Anyone have such, or other ideas?

Hi HJ1,

You may want to open a Support case for this issue.

This knowledge article seems like it may be more relevant to your issue,

https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS305578

Since it involves your action "Send to PDM", whereas the other one you mentioned involved check-in actions.

Hi!

Yes, it looks like a support case...

I also found the CS305578 you refer to, but the SQL there also assumes there's something in the EPMDocument table with the idA2A2 or that you know the doc number, correct? In this case there's neither. I ran the SQL partially to find out which objects have this:

statecheckoutinfo like 'wrk-p'

but none of those found match the EPMDocument.idA2A2 in the error message.

Therefore - even though it does not involve Send to PDM - this CS I referred to

https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS131389

and script 2# seemed more feasible but then again, I don't know Oracle.

Some more details about this, in case of interest.

The error was produced when a non-admin user initiated Send to PDM from the top wtPart of a structure and with collector, well, collected all dependent items and EPMDocs.

I tried Send to PDM as admin user, but this time initiating from the corresponding top assembly EPMDoc and collected all dependents & wtParts. No errors.

So... in any circumstance, should we be worried or not that there was an error message referring to idA2A2 which does not exist in the table EPMDocument?
