Separate Apache Instance?

All,
I was originally using the existing Apache installation on my HPUX 11iv2 system and then the OS was upgraded to 11iv3. The upgrade completely wiped out my Apache overlay/configuration which of course I thought was great! Anyway, is it possible to install a separate instance of Apache? I tried doing a Standalone installation but found that Apache can't be installed that way. I also can't execute the Apache setup file from the third party CD because it is expecting to be executed from the PSI. Has anyone done this? Thanks in advance.

Backup? As a side note if you were using Solaris with zfs root you could
have done a liveupgrade on the OS and would have had a snapshot of the
old contents.

I can think of a couple of workarounds:
1. install the PTC apache only on another host (perhaps a zone? does
HPUX have these?) and then copy to your original host

2. Download apache source from www.apache.org and build your own. This
is what I do.
