Service Start at Night- User not able to Login in Morning

Hello.

Any Windows IT changes that affect Services? Patches, Service Packs

Background:

I am going to look at a Intralink 3.X server tomorrow that has started to not function properly since October 1st. Anyone start to have Task Schedule scripts related to Oracle have Service Startup Issues. It had functioned properly (nightly) for about 2 years prior to October 1st.

Local Admin states no Windows Updates on/after October 1st
Claims Backup Software Running in same Timeframe.

Script takes Export of Intralink Dump and Shutdown Data Server at 11pm
Backup Starts at 11:30pm and is complete by 4am
Script Starts Data Server at 5:00am

Users can not log on in the morning, IT is rebooting system so they can log in. (Assume Stop/Start of Data server would have also worked)

I will be checking obvious things
Such as Backup taking longer that 5:00am, password changes, Ora_db Group.... Just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this. Phone conversations state all the basics are normal.

Finally asking because I have One Windchill Customer that also has issues with scripts starting properly. The only thing in common is that neither site has a Local Admin/CAD Admin or Power User.... (And that I did not do either install ofcourse) 🙂

I am trying to build a query builder report that lists the Roles and Role
Participants (groups or users) for every context in our PDMLink 9.1 system
(either Libraries or Products).

I am having a hard time understanding how the objects relate since the
wt.inf package is not in the HTML rose model that I have, and that is
where wt.inf.container and WTLibrary, etc. are defined.

Can someone briefly explain how a context maps to a role that maps to a
principal? I have a report that works for Team Templates, but I cannot
figure out how to get the same for context teams.

Specifically, I am trying to map a query builder report that outputs all
roles for all libraries and products with a list of what user or group
plays each role in each context.

Thank you.

Al,

Mike Lockwood has previously distributed such a report. Should be able to take his and tweak to your liking.

These work perfectly in 9.1. I think that there is a different approach needed prior to 9.1.
Can't figure out how to get context types together, so there are two attached.

Use Context instead of Product and Library and it will list all the Context types (Product/Library/Project/Organization etc).

See my attached example of the report for all types of contexts.
