Sharing Documents to Project

Gentlemen ,

How can we ensure that documents "SHARED" to a project from PDMLink , does not get updated when the document undergoes a change in the PDMLink.

I need only a specific version of the document to be shared to ProjectLink .

However I cannot use PDM Check-out since I don't want the supplier to modify the content or check-out the data.

Can you please help with me a solution ?

As far as I am aware the Project Update is a manualy step and you can select which document to update in the project from what the Action Project Update has found

Additionally as you can you could PDM Check Out the document but then ensure that the security setting in the project does not allow the user to check out the document.
