Showing Role on Report Manager Report

Gurus,

I have a report in report manager that will show all details/attributes of the ECN but I need to show the name of the user in the Change Admin III role on the report. Can anyone help me with how to add this information?

Now that you have a report, is there an easy way that doesn't require customizing the UI to make that report available on the Reports tab under a product or library. Right now it seems like you can only make it available through the Report Manager which seems less than desirable for users who want to use the report.

Steve,
Reports can be displayed on the reports tab in this way:
Click Report > Properties in the Query Builder.
Tickmark "Expose As Report" in the Report Properties dialog.
Click OK and save the report.
Go to Organization/Site > Reports. The report will be listed here.
Click the Edit icon for the report in the table view.
In the Display Context(s) section mark the major tabs on which the reports
should be available.
You can flag the reports as ready to use in this dialog also, but it will
show up anyway.

Regards,
Bjarne

I'm glad to read that, in 8.0 I had to create a "report of reports" that listed the reports I wanted the users to see, and put the URL to that report in their hot links when I added a user to the system.

Ryan,

I have not been able to find this information directly, as the object that holds it has all the roles and assignees in one field, which is impractical to parse in the report manager.

The list is in (wt.team.Team), field (Role Principal Map), but it provides only the object ids for the users, not the user names....

I worked around that by linking the workitem table to the report, as all roles end up with a workitem at some time. As the workitem holds the role, you can get role holders, provided that they already have been assigned an action item.

I attach a report that lists problem reports which have the current user holding the "Chef de l'équipe conception " role.

You wont be able to use it as is, as that role is non standard, but you can get the idea.

HTH,

Vincent
