Text drawing parameters matching ILINK attributes

Text drawing parameters matching ILINK attributes

For some small purchased parts .we maintain .drw's that are simply text with
supplier information (no models).

For those of you, who might have .drw's without models, how do you ensure
that the parameters on the drawing in the title block match the attributes
in ILINK? Do you use ModelCheck? Verify Manually? Associate a dumb blank
model for each one? Use separate Title blocks using the :D? Other
means...?

Re: Text drawing parameters matching ILINK attributes

I only got 4 responses but they were very helpful.

3 of the 4 used a blank dummy model to associate it to the drawing. Using
this procedure helps in filling out the drawing title block but creates
double the number of files. One mentioned that as a consequence, it could
be added to an assembly to get a correct BOM. The 4th used the 😄 in the
title block parameters in conjuctiontion with drawing templates. This
allows you to create 1 drawing format and 1 model. Then you can use the
same model to start all text drawings. Once saved, the model can be deleted
from the drawing.

Thank you for your help.
