Trigger unexpectedly executed

We have an Intralink 3.4 trigger that executes after a promotion.

Today, one of our users attempted to promot a file that was already pending promotion.
As expected, Intralink warned the user of such, and did not proceed to promote.
However, the promotion trigger was still executed.

Is this normal?
I would not expect such.

Trigger unexpectedly executed

Gary,

I suspect it is designed to execute the trigger even if the target and
source release levels are the same. I do not exactly remember if that is
the case, but...

To support this statement, here is a bit of stripped down pseudocode
from one of my old programs..

Loop through participants
{
....

Get target release level
Get source release level

if target_release_level != source_release_level
{
Execute remaining code, etc..
....
}

Return(0);
}

Oops,

I didn't mean to put the Return statement in the loop, and I did mean to
address this to Gerry and not Gary.. lol
