Two Performance Presentations Delivered at PTC Live Global - June 2013

At this year's PTC Live Global I was a co-presenter of the presentation: Using PSM to Diagnose Performance Bottlenecks, and is downloadable below.  This presentation covered how to use PSM (Product System Monitor) to both monitor a Windchill system and how to dig into a problem when one occurs.

The second presentation is titled Improving Windchill Performance and was given by Ram Krishnamurthy the product manager for Windchill Performance and covers a lot of the core information to attaining acceptable Windchill Performance.  If you only look at one slide, make it slide #9 which includes:

• Windchill Configuration Assistant (chapter 1),
• Windchill Client Inspector (for system which do CAD data management),
• optimizing the DB (generally best done through a Technical Support case)
  • by allocating enough memory
  • and creating the recomended indexes
