Unable to create part number since "both objects are not in a PDM context."

I have a part that I am working on with a vendor. The part was originally in the shared folder with our vendor and then I sent the part back to PDM. After clicking "Send to PDM" and trying to create new part number I get the below error:

"Illegal link. "Project Part" cannot be linked to "Assembly" because both objects are not in a PDM context.

Solution: CAD part is check-out to PDM"

If I already successfully sent to PDM why am I getting this error?

So you are saying that the Part was created successfully on the PDM side? This error is referring to the CAD Assembly that was linked to the Part. Is that only on the project side? I think its saying that it should also be sent to PDM. Did it unlink it?
