Upgrade to WF 2.0, Intralink 3.4 and ProductView 7.0

Upgrade to WF 2.0, Intralink 3.4 and ProductView 7.0

Gurus,

Currently we are on Pro/E 2001 (2003400) and Intralink 3.2
(2002270) and ProductView 6.4.8 (GS) and 6.4 client.

Several engineering and business reasons are requiring us to get
moving on this and we can no longer can put off this inevitable upgrade.

However, IS resources are in demand everywhere else in the
organization it seems and I'm trying to put together a proposal
to minimize impact to them and also minimize the inherint several
week productivity hit on the engineers.

So, here's what I'm thinking and I would very much appreciate all
comments regarding this approach, good, bad or indifferent. This is
purposely not a very detailed proposal but rather from a 30k foot view.

1. I want to upgrade 2001 from build 2003400 to 2005030. Question…
has anyone come across info stating this is a problematic
build that should be avoided?

2. I want to upgrade to Intralink 3.4 (M011). Question – has anyone
come across info stating this is a problematic build that should be avoided?

According to this http://www.ptc.com/WCMS/files/24313en_file1.pdf
the 2005030 build of 2001 is compatible with 3.4 M011.

3. I’d then like to upgrade ProductView to 7.0 (M050)
which according to the PTC website documentation I’ve reviewed (http://www.ptc.com/WCMS/files/31312en_file1.pdf), is
compatible with 3.4 M011.

I’d let this configuration run in production for a month or
two and then upgrade 2001 2005030 to Wildfire 2.0 M120 which,
from numerous posts on the exploder, appears to be one of,
if not the, most stable build of Wildfire 2.0 out there.

OK...that’s my vision...now tell me if I’m out-of-my-mind crazy,
if I seem to be on the right track or somewhere in between.

I will post a summary,

Thanks folks...much appreciated as always,
