Using or allowing only Microsoft Edge browser in the Organization. Is it a good idea?

Use Case: Our IT organization forcing the entire organization to use only Microsoft Edge browser and removing all other browsers from the Organization.

Description:

Is it a best idea to use only one browser in the organization? What your organization's policy. Any challenges by this in using Windchill, Thingworx, Creo etc..

From Windchill PLM  point of view that shouldn't be a issue .
