Version Removal

I just found this in the Help system last night.

Accommodating Legacy Values in Revision Labels

All values that have been set in a revision label for any object that can be
revised should remain in your scheme.

To allow values in revision labels on existing objects, but exclude the
values when creating new revision labels, add the following attribute to the
value tag that defines each value you want to exclude:

legacy="true"

For example, to exclude the P2 value shown in the previous section, use the
1 REPLY 1

Version Removal

Has Anyone Made a Script to Remove Unnecessary Versions from a File-base Sequence?

If I were to reorder an existing File-based Sequence would I have an negative effects? I was thinking if I place 1..7 after the Alpha Series that New Objects would then Start at "A"; the only negative effect might be that pre-existing data at Versions 1 to 7 might not be accessible.

Facts:
PDMLink 9.0 M040
Sequence: 1..7, A..Z, AA..ZZ

Would like to remove Sequence 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.

Currently I have Preference Manager Set so that New Objects can be Revise by Users, so that they do not check in anymore objects at Rev "1" but instead set the Revision to "A"

The Rev 1 to 7 were legacy Pro/PDM sequence, migrated to Intralink, which was migrated to PDMLink 9.0
