Want to know can we create or configure it on EPM Documents.

I am using Windchill PartsLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M010-CPS02

Can we create or configure parts classification on EPM documents?

Hi @JM_10268583

Only WTParts supports the classification in the PartsLink

And WC12 supports WTDocuments but not EPMDocuments. I would suggest using WTParts and their linkage as a stand in for classify the epmdocument.

Hello @JM_10268583,

@HelesicPetr is right, only WTParts or WTDocuments can be classified, not EPMDocuments.  Classification search work with WTParts or with WTDocuments.

But you can map WTPart classification attributes with Creo parameters. In that way you have an automatic synchronization in both directions. Implicit mapping is required, i mean exact same name for each attribute and parameter. Check this video from 4CAD:

I made my video public but still in "Awaiting Approval". I don't know what that means.

Hi @Pascal_Brunet

It means that someone who is responsible has to approve if the video is OK.

PetrH

It works now. Video has been approved.

Doesn't mean your EPMDocuments carry all attributes of all possible PartsLink parts? The Object Specific section must get huge over time.

Yes you right @avillanueva, it will be huge over time but could be interesting for a few common attributes, not all of them. At the end, Classification search only works with WTParts, not with EPMDocuments.
