Windchill 10.0: Mapping Authoring Application to CAD Document Soft Types

As promised during my PlanetPTC Live Best Practices presentation on Working with CAD Related Product Structures, here is my blog post on how to map a CAD authoring application to a Windchill CAD Document soft type:

Hi,

Under what scenarios should we use subtyping of an EPMDocument?(CAD Document).

Is it good to avoid subtyping at all?

Are there any case studies or guides to help us understand its valid usage?

Iam working to do a POC in Windchill for a machinery customer.

Thanks
