Hi
Is any one can comments on compatibility of windchill 10 or 11 with Solid work 2017. Any work group manager patch is available for it.
Solved! Go to Solution.
SolidWorks 2017 is supported with Windchill 10.2 M030 CPS22. See https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS140032. For Windchill 11.0 you will have to wait until the M030 release in June.

Tom is correct.
Also Windchill 11.0 M020 CPS06 (release date is May 17, 2017) will have support of SolidWorks 2017.
Hi
does the mapping of the parameters is as smooth as Creo/Windchill ?
For what I recall when I have Creo and Windchill. I need to first declare the parameters in Windchill, then ensure I create the parameter in Creo with the same name and type and the values are automatically uploaded in Windchill upon checkin
Does it work the same with Solidworks ?
Cheers.
Yes, the process is basically the same except you don't have to designate anything in SolidWorks. You do need to make sure the properties are created on the "Custom" tab. Properties on the "Configuration Specific" tab will not map to Windchill.
