Windchill Business Reporting w/out Author Capability

Our company requires us to standardize on SSRS for our reporting tool. We would like to install the Windchill Business Reporting with 9.1 but because of this requirement, we must install it without the report author capability.

Is it worth installing the solution just for the pre-built reports? Are these reports usable OOTB or did you find it necessary to have the report author to make minor changes?

Some of the pre-built reports can be extremely useful depending on your requirements for them. The Cognos reports can exported in many different format but as you said they are pre-built and cannot be tailored. The built in multi-level BOM report is very nice but the ECN Summary report is rather weak. One thing to note, until 9.1 M060 is out there is a bug floating around in there that causes the multi-level reports to fail at times so I would wait until M60 (September) to install things. It can also be tricky to install, for some reason the reports don't always get loaded into Windchill completely so be in touch with tech support when doing it, they know a few easy tricks.

Thanks Steve and Kevin for your replies. It looks like the OOTB reports don't justify installing the WBR without the authoring. I appreciate you informing us about the Bug. We are working on a 9.1 M040 build so this made our decision a little easier.
