Windchill Service not starting due to registry key error

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.2

In proxmox host environment changed windchill server drive type due to veeam backup issues. The change broke the symbolic links to drives and we fixed that, but now windchill services are not starting.



Here are the errors that I faced
The system cannot find the Registry key for service 'prunsrv-64'

C:\ptc\windchill\windchill\opt\ntservice>prunsrv-64.exe //RS //Windchill
[2025-11-24 10:59:25] [warn] [ 6780] The system cannot find the Registry key for service 'prunsrv-64'.
[2025-11-24 10:59:25] [error] [ 6780] Load configuration failed.

[2025-11-24 10:59:25] [error] [ 6780] Apache Commons Daemon procrun failed with exit value: 2 (failed to load configuration).
[2025-11-24 10:59:25] [error] [ 6780] The system cannot find the file specified.

Check log under  %SystemRoot%\System32\LogFiles\Apache and see if it provides more information.

or

1. Try to uninstall Windchill service firstly refer to article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs17799

2. then re-setup the Windchill service refer to the above article.
