I am looking to create a Peer Review on a document or a dynamic document. The following link/post seems indicate the Windchill 11.0 software will be able to accomplish this task.
https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill-Questions/Peer-review-of-documents/td-p/545404
However, the post seems to speak to the Windchill 11.0 M030 release. I followed the steps and I noticed that I do not have the 'New Review' option from the context menu. I checked the version I am running and the release version is Windchill M030-CPS06.
Any suggestions?
You are not alone
I'm in the same case ( 11.0 M30 CPS 8 ) and no action menu.
I suspect an upgrade problem because i have the object but with Unknown icon.
Thank you for your response. I tried looking through the PTC Update Advisor to see when it was added with no success.
Does anyone know which version of Windchill contains the 'Desktop Review' context menu option?
All,
You might have to have a license for it. We use it here at my work. I am actually about to do a webinar presentation on it for our 30,000 Windchill users later this month. It is listed after Requirement.
Please remember that Review was partially implemented for 11.0 and improved in 11.1 and 12.0. We had issues with it originally due to missing ACL's and Roles that were not populated into our products created from a non-OOTB template. Attached is the documentation I wrote up at the time of the investigation. Hopefully it will help get you pointed in the right direction.
I found that bug 😀 For a year and a half they used my spreadsheet of missing things right in the CPS.
This is my guess, an upgrade to Windchill was never addressed to add proper types/acls etc
