Workflow Template Administrator

Using Windchill/Intralink 10.0 not Windchill/PdmLink



Where is the Workflow Template Administrator interface? All the
documentation I see including the built in HELP interface indicates it
is accessible from the Utilities page under Site , Organizations ,
Products , or Libraries



Is it available when only using Windchill/Intralink?



I can see what I guess are Out-Of-The-Box templates but I don't see
anywhere to modify or create my own?

Anyone have a problem using SEND TO PDM in Windchill 10? Not able to make the location stick so the system keeps returning location not defined error message.

Make sure you are a Workflow Administrator and an Organization
Administrator (or Site Administrator).

On the Organization Utilities tab, you should see this....

Workflow Template Administration Create and manage workflow templates
used for automating processes, in which information, tasks, and documents
are passed among participants, within the context of specific business
objects.

Click Workflow Template Administration.

I'm pretty sure Intralink does not allow you to create custom workflows.
i.e. it restricts you to only using OOTB workflows. PTC could confirm.

That is correct. This is one of the big pieces that is excluded from Intralink.

Unfortunately, this is not clearly documented in the 10.0 Windchill Help Center. At 10.1, you will no longer see the information about this functionality if you select "Pro/INTRALINK" as the Solution on the Help Center configuration tab, and we'll ensure that the support information is also included in the text.
