In Windchill, go to Site-Utilities and open the Participant Administration tab

Then you can add a new user to Windchill. You do not directly interface with WDS.

Hi

thank you

i added a new user User1 wit the wcadmin account

then i went to my organisation and i added User1 as product creator

but when I log with User1 account, I cannot create product

what is wrong ?

regards

Laurent

Add User1 using wcadmin doesn't mean it has same access rights.

You have to put User1 at least in org admin group to be able to create a context or to create an equivalent rule in ACL

In the User1 table under Participant Administration (logged in as wcadmin), add User1 to the Organization, this will allow you to use User1 as a product creator.

The wcadmin account is very restrictive on what you can do with it.

It is best to create an OrgAdmin account and use that for setting up all of the Organization users, creators and administrators .

Leave the wcadmin account for site level things like creating vaults or site wide rules and roles.

Use the OrgAdmin account for the workflows, OIRs, Lifecycles and other rules/roles that determine how your Organization interacts with Windchill.
