We are in the process of finding a data management solution. The bulk of our work is engineering consulting so we usually don't carry a product through the entire lifecycle. At minimum we need rev control, renaming, parameter mapping and bom creation. To throw a wrench into all of this, it would be really nice if this system could also manage the "dark side" files (SWX). We are currently demoing some systems but I'm curious to know anyone's experience using Concurrent DDM and/or Autodesk Vault Professional. I understand that PDMLink with Workgroup Manager will handle solidworks files but I would like to know what else is out there. I also understand that 3rd party systems are usually behind the compatibility curve with the latest Pro-E release.
Any nuggets of wisdom are appreciated.
