Fellow PSI users:
I had got the Windchill upgrade done, had moved on to the Solr upgrade.
Got to the screen where the last text input box was for the Solr password, and entered it using a 'paste' operation.
Saw the right number of asterisks so I clicked 'next'.
Got an error pop-up saying something like 'password cannot be blank' but ignored it because the asterisks seemed to indicate that it was not blank.
Completed the installation and restarted everything.
Set the password in Windchill using xconfmanager as directed.
Tried a search and got the yellow banner saying that search was not working, and the MethodServer log showed an auth problem.
What happened? Maybe a race condition? Maybe the PSI UI accepted the 'next' click before it had processed the password text input? Next time, I will pause a few seconds before clicking 'next'.
Now my question: How can I change the Solr password without stepping through the PSI screens? Where is it stored in the files under SolrServer so I can change it directly? (presumably it is not stored as plaintext, so how can I encrypt is the same way that PSI does it?)
