display of numerical values in tables ?

There are quite a few Proe parameters we currently track in Intralink 3.X. Physical characteristics of Proe .prts like diameter, length, thickenss etc.In our Intralink 3.x table displays, these values appear just as the parameter does with Proe. For example if the Proe parameterof OD is.500, the value appears in Intralink as .500. During our test migration (performed by a PTC VAR) to PDMlink, we've noticed many changes in the formatting of these values when we've created table displays to mimic the ones we used in Intralnk. Where we saw simply .500 in Intralink is now something like .50000000000. Many of the values are in scientific notation. This makes for a very awkward looking table display especially when lite users will be needing to use this interface. We've also noticed when comparing the same parameter in the attributes vs table displays, there are differences in the formatting of the display. Our question is, has anyone else experienced these issues ? Is there any control regarding the number of digits or displaying scientific notation in table displays ? This issue along the inability of PDMlink to perform searches within a range of numerical values has become a serious obstacle in our PDMlink Implementation.
