possible integration Windchill and Rule Engines

Just wonderif anybody using Rule Engines with windchill (Windchill workflows). What will be a possible integration of Rule Engine and Windchill so that can execute different rules against actions, workflow activities, check in /out doucments/items, etc

Anything is possible since you have an expression robot. You are
thinking of the Semantic Web? Can you elaborate on an example where a
rule engine would be used in place of if/then logic? I can see the
inherent flexibility of externalizing the actually decision logic in
rules. It would make them flexible to change but the results of the
rule evaluation would have the be brought back to the existing workflow
which would be go left/go right kind of logic.
