I have about 100 Intralink users. Most of them are working fine; however, I have a few users who are now experiencing a problem where it says “FAILED TO TAKE OR REFRESH LICENSE” anytime they try to log in.
I am using Intralink 3.3 M022
The users are all on laptops.
Rebooting does not fix the issue
The users experience this when they use a local install of Intralink or a network install that everyone else uses (Not a patch issue)
The problem just started happening yesterday.
Pro/Engineer starts up fine and does pull a license from my license server.
If I run PTCSETUP, PTCSETUP does not recognize my license servers as having flexlm services running from either Intralink or Pro/E.
I vaguely remember having something like this happening at another company I worked for. I think we were running into problems related to static IP addresses. I don't have my notes about how we solved the problem, but hopefully this will spark someone else's memory.
