wcadmin can't access Licence management

After Customer did an upgrade and a rehost, the wcadmin can't access all the utilities in the site including Licence Management

Actions done without success :

setting the property isUpgradeRunning to false and propagate
restarting oracle
testing in another browser

Issue has been resolved by R&D

Solution :

Remove admin user from all license groups and license exclusion group

I have reviewed the attached screenshot which states the Error-403,

Can you confirm if jsp file licenseManagment.jsp exist under codebase/apps/licenseUsage/jsp/ folder?

 

Also, capture the logs by enabling below loggers at Windchill/codebase/ WEB-INF/log4jMethodServer.properties

  • log4j.logger.wt.licenseusage.licensing = ALL
  • log4j.logger.com.ptc.core.ui.validation = ALL
  • log4j.logger .com.ptc.core.ui.validation.DefaultURLValidationFilterHandler = ALL

Review the generated logs and if you find below lines:

wt.licenseusage.licensing.StandardLicenseManagerService {SiteAdminUser} - isLicenseTrackingEnabledForAction: isUpgrade is <true>

 

Windchill always refers the installation as an upgrade (isUpgrade is <true>)

Let's re propagate the property as below:
xconfmanager -s com.ptc.windchill.upgrade.isUpgradeRunning = false -t codebase\wt.properties -p
and take a restart after cleaning the caches

- Upgrade in the test server from 11.1 M020-CPS02 to 11.2
- Oracle is installed in the same machine of Windchill in the test env
- using Active directory in Prod server, only the admin exists in the windchill ldap he is part of administrators and print group, connection between the two ldap not yet done in the test server so no trying to test other users
- search don't appear along with Licence management etc
1- trying to rename the jsp file and access it directly from browser shows partially the page
2- Testing other pages directly in browser shows the same error
3- comment RECEIVED_DELIVERY_MANAGEMENT in the <Windchill_Home>\codebase\config\urlValidators\common-validators.xml
5 - Setting the property wt.access.enforce to false with clearing logs, tomcat cache ,info engine and restarting without success
6- Testing in other browser ie ,chrome

From the customer :
Let me summarize what I did until now, there is a history of this updrade process, maybe it helps if you know the background.

1. The goal is to upgrade from Windchill 11.1 to Windchill 11.2

- Source Windchill runs on Linux machine, host name: ’windchill.mediagnost’
- Target Windchill runs on Windows, host name: ’windchillsrv.mediagnost.hu
I opened a ticket, rehosted the clone of source to ’windchill-old.mediagnost.hu’, please see C15187334.

2. I got error during upgrade Configure Database And LDAP upgrade phase fails with error "ORA-00001: unique constraint" when upgrading to Windchill PDMLink 11.2
Please see C15253307.

3. Then I got error during finalize Upgrade phase, please see C15264031.
4. After the UpgradeManager ran successfully I got this license retrieve error what belongs to you.
