workspace status not showing "out of date" from commonspace

I have a user that has a part checked out to workspace, another user is modifying the part, when the part is checked back into common space the other user does not get an out of date message in his "workspace status" column. Should the "workspace status" column show the part as being out of date, or is the "compare status" column the one that should show this condition?

Thanks to all that responded!! This makes ptc sense anyway, nice to hear back so quickly. Almost makes more sense to be notified in one area of relational status changes such as this as opposed to having so many columns in Intralink to take up more real-estate, but whatever

Thanks again,
Brian

Brian,

Could you provide the response you received on this issue?  We are trying to figure this out too.

Thanks,

Jeff
