Is there / Will there be support for DataTag localization; especially for data filter widget selection

We are using DataTags for grouped enumerated values whose terms can be user-customizable. We have created a scheme to support translations of these tags when presented to the user. To do this we added a localization token that is the fully-qualified vocabulary term for the DataTag. This works fine for most case. One exception is when we use the OOTB Thingworx data filter widget. In this case, when the user is presented with the DataTag terms to select, they are the hard-coded terms. We are wondering if there is or will be localization support built into DataTags.
